\nThe provincial caretaker minister for education Dr Muhammad Qasim Jan has said that austerity measures and effective planning are the need of the hour to improve the overall educational institutions efficiency.
\nDr Muhammad Qasim Jan was chairing the meeting of the Board of Governors of Peshawar Public School and College. It was attended by Education Secretary elementary and secondary education department Mutasim Ballah Shah, Special Secretary Sharif Hussain and other board members.
\nThe caretaker minister said that after the retirement of employees in model schools and colleges, new recruitments should be made under the contract and fixed pay policy.
\nHe directed the quarters concerned to take pragmatic steps for controlling unnecessary recruitments and strict austerity measures should be in place for reducing the budget deficits of the institutions.
\nThe forum accorded approval to increase the fee structure of the college students, which is Rs 3820 per month from nursery to fifth class, Rs 4250 per month from sixth to tenth class and Rs 7150 per month for 11th and 12th class.
\nSimilarly, 20 percent ad-hoc relief and 25pc ad-hoc relief for grade 17 and above have been added to the salaries of employees from grade one to grade 16, keeping in view the financial condition of the college.
\nSimilarly, Rs 30,000 per month salary has been fixed for teachers inducted under the fixed pay salary policy in the institution and Rs 24,000 per month for Class IV employees.
\nAccording to the government\u2019s policy, computer allowance was also approved for computer teachers of the college.
\nThe principal was directed to conduct a special admission campaign and special media campaign to attract students and parents.
\nThe meeting also granted approval to a special discount in fees for the children of the employees who died during service, while it was also approved to set up an action committee consisting of members of the transport department, administration, finance and education department for the auction of old buses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
