The former PTI chairman requested the court to fix his plea for hearing in the next week. The petitioner said that he had challenged the Official Secrets (Amendment) Act in a constitutional petition. But the SC registrar\u2019s office returned the petition after raising objections to it. The objections of the registrar office cannot be maintained. We have filed a chamber appeal against the objections of the registrar\u2019s office, the petition read. In September, former prime minister Imran Khan petitioned the Supreme Court to declare \u201cnull and void\u201d the Pakistan Army (Amendment) Act 2023 and Official Secrets (Amendment) Act 2023, contending that since both lack the presidential assent, they remain bills and have not become law.
