\nIn a resounding commemoration of Empowering women and collaborations,lately a conference concluded at Sarena Hotel Peshawar has been hailed as a monumental success. The conference \u201cBreaking Barriers, Buildin Bridges:Uniting Women\u2019s Voices For a Better World\u201d spanning on two days conference organized by Shaheed Benazir University Bhutto Women University Peshawar in collaboration with SRSP, EU, SCHORES and UNHCR along with leading banks State Bank, HBL, BOK and UBL. This conference featured a rich collection of key note speakers, interactive sessions,
\nproject presentations, paper presentations and penal discussions.
\nInaugural Ceremony starts with recitation then Prof. Dr. Safia Ahmed (T.I); Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Benazir University Bhutto Women University Peshawar welcomes the Chief Guest Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali, all the guests and attendees for showing their presence at the inaugural of the conference. She spoke about the focus of this conference in uniting together and making the voices of women stronger.
\nDr Farhana Khursheed, Accossiate Professor from Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi. She in her thought provoking key note speech stated that Fostering education, integrating it with technology and empowering youth would lead to boundless rewards.
\nProf. Dr Hussain Shaheed Sohorwardi delivered an interesting key note address with special reference to NMD\u2019s and Afghan women. Dr Sohorwardi affirmed that enhancing skills and education of Afghan women would have positive impact on economy of Pakistan and on international impression. Where he emphasized that for competing better in this world we have to learn to empower women.
\nMr Ihsan from Afghan Commissionorate highlighted the role of academia in his important talk, that academia can play an important role in empowering women particularly Afghan women in KP by giving them scholarship and support. Mr Masood ul Mulk, CEO SRSP, appreciated the conduction of this conference by claiming it as a great initiative to talk about women empowerment.
\nMr Kofi, Head of UNHCR highly valued the event. He stated that if an Afghan woman learns skills they will lead respectful life in Pakistan and post repatriation they would contribute well in their state\u2019s economy. He emphasized that engaging private sector and self employment can raise the level of women empowerment.
\nChief Guest Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali, shed light on how Islam empowered women in the era of Jahiliya. Therefore, he compelled to not forget our past and in the guidance of our Prophet we should design our society and empower our women.
\nDr Hamida a chief organizer appreciated the support of FPCCI, local Government and all the collaborators for the conference. She thanked her organizing team comprised of Ms Tashfeen, Ms Beenish Asmatullah, Ms Ayesha, Mr Yousaf Raheel and Dr Zarmina Baloch. Furthermore, she valued Mr Irfan , Ms Nabeela and Mr Asad from SRSP for all the assistance provided by them. She also thanked everyone who has and will be participating in session of the conference.
\nOn the first day of this international conference there were several penal talks and thought provoking paper presentations on the variety of topics.
