\nMuhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party said holding of timely, free, fair and impartial election is imperative for the country.
\nShah banished echoes of delay in the election, what he said unnecessary postponement would cause further political chaos and instability, which under the prevailing circumstances, unaffordable for the country.
\nThe ATP chief urged the Election Commission of Pakistan to take prompt decisions as an uncertain situation prevailed among people, which should be pulled out immediately.
\nHe said only statements won\u2019t be enough, however, he insisted the government and election commission make sure that the election should be held as scheduled in the country, he asserted. \u201cLet the democracy get flourish\u201d,
\nFaiq was talking to various delegations and in connection with a mass contact campaign during his visit to Punjab, said in a press release here on Thursday.
\nThe party leader said the politics of vendetta was unfavorable for the country that\u2019s a major hindrance in the way national unity and progress.
\nHe said NAB and other institutions shouldn\u2019t be used for targeting political opponents, asserting that political differences must be set aside to sort out national crisis.
\nHe said his party wanted to eliminate the tug of war for power which is a major hurdle in national progress.
\nShah said many issues, including poverty and unemployment, could be solved, but the crisis can\u2019t be solved amid political leg-pulling.
\nPolitics of hate, prejudice, and arrogance must be shunned to ensure a level playing field for everyone, he stressed.
\nShah said rulers are facing consequences of the deeds as whatever they have sown now they are reaping.
\nHe maintained they have done everything, even discredited the national institutions for sake of political survival and vested interests.
\nFaiq was of the view that neighbouring countries have gained rapid progress in every sector but Pakistan is lagging behind in all sectors.
\nHe said it is a dilemma that Pakistan has deliberately kept backwards in all sectors.
