\nMuhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party asserted his party\u2019s conceived economic and political roadmap should be implemented with true spirit, expressing optimism that people will empower and importance should be given to manifesto and program.
\nShah noted the country\u2019s export has already declined, asking to remove apprehensions of textile industries on wheeling charges, if not do so, further difficulties will arise with regard to production and export.
\nHe also demanded to mitigate sufferings in the way of production, export-oriented industries in all four federating units to prevent a crisis situation.
\nThe ATP chief said the election commission needed to remove uncertainty with regard to holding elections.
\nSimilarly, he said reforms are crucial to eliminate intervention of wealth, pressure and rigging in the election process.
\nHe warned the country will slide into anarchy if timely general elections are not ensured.
\nPakistan\u2019s economy was in a dire state and there was widespread unemployment across the country, he added.
\nThe ATP chief asserted the only way to steer the country out of political and economic crises was to hold elections on the scheduled date of Feb 8.
\nHe stressed that holding transparent elections was crucial for the country\u2019s stability.
\n\u201cThose suggesting to postpone the elections are pushing the country towards darkness,\u201d Shah added.
\nHe also emphasised that elections should not be a mere \u2018selection,\u2019 pointing out that the constitution mandated ensuring transparent elections.
\nHe stressed political parties required that they should bring democracy in their ranks and end the culture of nepotism, family-based politics and power.
\nThe party leader went on to say that governments are going far away from people and locking up in a cage wherein access of 220million people were impossible, stating that decisions were made in drawing rooms, which has promoted monarch culture.
\nIf the requirements of democracy are fulfilled, elections will make it easier for the ordinary man and democracy should bring in all political parties so that political stability and staunchness will come, he concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
