ISLAMABAD: The cryptocurrency market remained on a slide on Friday, with the market capitalization losing 0.7 percent to reach $1.77 trillion. As of 1215 hours GMT, the price of Bitcoin, the world\u2019s oldest and most valued cryptocurrency, went down by 0.7 percent in the last 24 hours to reach $42,893. The market capitalization of the biggest crypto has reached $840.8 billion with this decrease. Bitcoin has been 1.9 percent down in the past seven days. BTC dipped below the $43,000 mark early Friday. Bitcoin made an attempt to exceed $43,700 on Thursday but faced resistance near the $44,000 level. Profit booking before the new year resulted in a decline below $43,200. The current consolidation level is $42,500, with immediate resistance at $43,000. A successful close above this level could propel the price higher, while support rests at $42,150. Similarly, Ether (ETH), the world\u2019s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, shed 1.5 percent to reach $2,372. With this decrease in price, the market capitalization of ETH has reached $285.4 billion. TLTP
\nETH has gained 2.7 percent of its value during the last seven days. Ether price has made around 90 percent increase for the year.
\nOn the other hand, Binance Coin (BNB) price dipped by 5.1 percent to reach $319. The market capitalization of BNB has reached $49 billion with this decrease. BNB has gained 18 percent of its value during the last seven days.
\nOn the other hand, Solana price increased by 2.3 percent to reach $108. With this increase in price, its market capitalization has reached $46.2 billion. SOL has gained 14.9 percent of its value during the last seven days.
\nOn the other hand, the price of Ripple (XRP) decreased by 2 percent to reach $0.632. The market capitalization of XRP stands at $34.2 billion with this decrease. XRP has gained 1.8 percent of its value during the last seven days.
\nOther popular altcoins including Litecoin (LTC) and Dogecoin (DOGE) landed in the red across the board. Bitcoin SV (BSV) went on to remain the biggest gainer for the second consecutive day, with a 24-hour jump of over 7 percent.
