{"id":379149,"date":"2024-01-07T09:06:38","date_gmt":"2024-01-07T04:06:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=379149"},"modified":"2024-01-07T09:06:38","modified_gmt":"2024-01-07T04:06:38","slug":"ex-nab-chief-javed-iqbal-summoned-in-tayyaba-gul-harassment-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/ex-nab-chief-javed-iqbal-summoned-in-tayyaba-gul-harassment-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Ex-NAB chief Javed Iqbal summoned in Tayyaba Gul harassment case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>controversial video<br \/>\n ISLAMABAD<br \/>\nFederal Ombudsman Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH) Saturday issued notices to former National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal in the Tayyaba Gul harassment case.<br \/>\nThe notices were issued to Iqbal and 11 others as FOSPAH Chairperson Fauzia Viqar conducted the hearing of a case filed by Gul back in 2022, wherein she had complained of being subjected to sexual harassment and rape by the former NAB head and other officials of the anti-graft watchdog.<br \/>\nIn her complaint, Gul \u2014 whose controversial video with the ex-NAB chairman had surfaced in 2019 \u2014 had levelled serious allegations against Iqbal accusing him of sexual harassment during her visit to the anti-graft body\u2019s office \u2014 an allegation vehemently denied by the former NAB head.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I was presented before Director General (DG) NAB Shehzad Saleem, my clothes were torn off upon his directions and my body had to sustain bruises because of the search,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJaved Iqbal would tell me that he will destroy my life within a minute,\u201d Gul had told the National Assembly\u2019s Public Accounts Committee (PAC).<\/p>\n<p>Claiming that she met the then-NAB chief during a meeting regarding missing persons, Gul lamented that she was allegedly filmed and the videos were shown to her husband.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>controversial video ISLAMABAD Federal Ombudsman Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH) Saturday issued notices to former National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal in the Tayyaba Gul harassment case.
