\nPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were indicted in the Toshakhana case on Tuesday. During today\u2019s session, accountability court Judge Muhammad Bashir conducted the hearing of the Toshakhana and the \u00a3190 million case. Bushra was also provided copies of the \u00a3190 million reference. The Toshakhana is a state department which retains gifts given by state officials, foreign diplomats and heads of different governments.
\nAccording to the Constitution of Pakistan, the recipient of the gifts must report them to the cabinet division and pay an appropriate amount if they wanted to keep it personally.
\nOn December 19, NAB filed a new reference against Imran and his wife in the accountability court for allegedly retaining 58 gifts against an undervalued amount over Rs142 million of the total of 108 that the couple had received from different heads of states and foreign dignitaries during the PTI founding chairman\u2019s tenure as the premier.
\nCourt orders to freeze assets, bank accounts of Shahzad Akbar, Farah Gogi
\nAccountability Court (AC) has ordered to freeze assets and bank accounts of 6 accused persons including PTI leader Shahzad AKbar and Zulfi Bukhari in 190 million pounds case.
\nOrder has been issued to freeze the bank accounts of Farah Gogi who is friend of Bushra Bibi wife of PTI founder and other accused persons.
\nThe court has ordered to confiscate the vehicles registered in the names of the accused persons.
\nThe court has issued perpetual arrest warrants of the accused after they have been declared proclaimed offenders.
