\nOpposing any attempt to delay the general elections scheduled for Feb 8, Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party said on Sunday there is a dire need to hold transparent polls to change the destiny of the country.
\nShah while addressing a public gathering and corner meetings in district Mardan and Charsadda of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ahead of general election said the nation had been grappling with uncertainty regarding the holding of polls due to the prevailing political and economic conditions in the country.
\nHe warned any move to postpone election will bring further political and economic instability in the country.
\nLet democracy flourish and put the country on a path of sustainable economic growth and development, he asserted.
\nFaiq reminded that his party has brought an viable agenda which would change the destiny of the whole nation.
\nThe party leader said political elites and opportunists\u2019 once again come out to gain the public vote.
\nHowever, he made it clear that rulers, especially those who ruled for decades in the country, would face humiliating defeat on Feb 8, by the public vote.
\nThe ATP chief underscored the importance of public authority and justice to people, stating that his party will contest elections on this motto.
\nHe said fake promises and empty agenda slogans couldn\u2019t work anymore as people have recognized the political opportunists who always come with different faces and parties and looted national wealth and carried out exploitation of poor masses.
\nFaiq said ATP has no lust for gaining power but to delegate powers to ordinary people and make them capable to take decisions on their own and resolve issues on a fast-track basis.
\nCommenting on the de-escalating Pak-Iran tension, Shah said peace of solution of the issue would maintain stability in the region and agreement between Pakistan and Iranian ministers to defuse the heightening tension is highly welcomed.
\nHe said conducive and peaceful relations between neighbours and brotherly Islamic countries are vital to tackle the rising challenges to Islamic world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
