\nChina and the United States should treat each other as equals rather than take a condescending attitude, seek common ground rather than accentuate differences and earnestly respect rather than undermine each other\u2019s core interests, China\u2019s senior diplomat Wang Yi has said.
\nThe United States must abide by the one-China principle and the three China-US joint communiques and put into action its commitment not to support \u201cTaiwan independence\u201d, and support the peaceful reunification of China, Wang Yi said.
