ISLAMABAD : During weekly press briefing in Islamabad today (Thursday), Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria has said that whole nation and the armed forces are ready to defend the motherland at every cost.
\nTo a question regarding Uri attack, Responding to a question about Indian allegations after reported Uri attack, the spokesman said it has become a matter of habit to point accusing fingers towards Pakistan after every such incident in India.
\nHe said Pakistan has nothing to gain from such incidents and in fact these are part of the Indian attempt to divert attention of the world community from its repression in Occupied Kashmir.
\nPakistan is a peaceful country and peaceful neighbourhood is the vision of the Prime Minister, he added.
\nThe spokesperson also asked the Indian authorities to present evidence regarding Pakistan\u2018s involvement in the attack before leveling baseless allegations.
\nThese remarks were given a day after the Indian delegate, Eenam Gambhir, accused Pakistan of promoting terrorism in occupied Kashmir and elsewhere while addressing the UNGA session in response to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif\u2019s statement on Kashmir.
\nNafees Zakaria told reporters that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in his address to the UN General Assembly urged the world body for implementing its resolutions on Kashmir. He also urged UN, and international community to stop killings and human rights violations in Indian held Kashmir.
\nHe said about 110 Kashmiris have been martyred, more than ten thousand injured and about 800 have lost their eye sight due to pellet gun use by occupation forces.
\nThe spokesperson said the Prime Minister also demanded for sending a UN fact finding mission in Occupied Kashmir to investigate into the extra-judicial killings there.
\nTo a question, Zakaria said there is concrete evidence of Indian sponsored terrorism and terrorist financing in Pakistan especially in Balochistan and Karachi. This was substantiated by confession of RAW agent Kulbhushan Yadev. Recent statement of Indian Prime Minister was yet another proof of Indian involvement in terrorism and terror financing in Pakistan aimed at destabilizing the country.
\nCommenting on reports that Brahmdagh Bugti was seeking political asylum in India, he said this only adds to the fact that India is deeply involved in terrorism in Balochistan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
