According to sources, A two judge-bench headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the plea of Accountability Court regarding another extension in the References against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo, Mian Nawaz Sharif. Supreme Court has ordered AC to finish the trials over PML-N Supremo before the deadline which is December 24, 2018.This respite is the eight one given to Accountability Court to complete the case. It is pertinent to mention here that December 07, today, was the last day in the extension previously given by the Supreme Court to AC in References against Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Previously on November 19, Supreme Court of Pakistan granted three weeks to Accountability Court in order to wrap up the Al-Azizia Reference Case.
