\nAt least 50 people on Monday were injured after a \u201ctechnical problem\u201d had caused a \u201cstrong movement\u201d aboard the LATAM Airlines international flight from Auckland, New Zealand to Sydney, Australia.
\nAccording to FlightAware, LATAM Airlines flight LA800, which typically stops in Auckland on its way to Santiago, Chile, landed at Auckland airport on Monday afternoon as scheduled.
\nThe aircraft, a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, suffered a \u201ctechnical problem\u201d that affected some passengers and cabin crew, a spokesperson for the South American airline told the NZ Herald.
\n\u201cThey received immediate assistance and were evaluated or treated by medical staff at the airport as needed,\u201d he added.
\nAccording to Reuters, a spokesperson revealed that the Hato Hone St John ambulance treated roughly 50 people at the airport.
\nAmong the injured, one patient was in a serious condition while the rest had suffered mild to moderate injuries, they added.
\nA passenger told the NZ Herald she experienced a \u201cquick little drop\u201d during the flight.
