\nRecord of the cases registered against the journalist Imran Riaz and PTI leader Azam Swati has been presented in Lahore High Court (LHC). The petition regarding provision of details of the cases came up for hearing in LHC Friday.
\nFIA and IG Punjab presented details of cases on the order of court.
\nDeputy Attorney General (DAG) Tariq Bashir submitted the details of the cases from FIA side.
\nAccording to state counsel one case is registered in cyber crime Lahore against the journalist Imran Riaz, one in City police station Sangla Hill Nankana Sahb and two cases in police station Attock and Sadar police station Chakwal. The other different five cases registered against Imran Riaz have been cancelled.
\nSalma Riaz counsel for Imran Riaz appeared in the court.
\nAdvocate Salma Riaz said court should summon report from interior ministry too.
\nThe court remarked all the record has come before us.
\nThe court wrapped up Imran Riaz petition in the light of reports.
\nThe case regarding provision of details of detention and cases registered against PTI leader Azam came up for hearing.
\nJustice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry heard the case.
\nUnder the order of court deputy secretary home Punjab Afzal Bashir appeared in the court and presented the report.
\nDeputy secretary home told the court no order of detention of Azam Swati is available.
\nUpon it the court wrapped up the petition in the light of home department report.
\nThe court while expressing annoyance over woman law officer of home department for giving vague reply remarked court has expectations from law officers.
\nPolice authorities have filed their report.
\nAccording to report 6 cases have been registered against Azam Swati in Lahore and 4 in Faisalabad. No case is registered in other districts of Punjab
\nThe counsel for Azam Swati while giving arguments said the petitioner is highly educated and leading politician of the country. He was arrested during action against PTI. The petitioner was subjected to violence and family women were insulted. Cases were registered against PTI leadership and the petitioner across the country. The details of the cases registered against the petitioner in Punjab are not being provided.
