Islamabad: Boeing\u2019s new Commercial Airplanes chief Stephanie Pope has told her employees that the company faces a \u201cpivotal moment\u201d, Fox News reported. Her statement comes as the planemaker tries to regain its reputation and address concerns from regulators after the 737 Max crisis \u2014 as an air panel blew off an Alaska Airlines plane mid-flight in January. Pope has replaced Stan Deal as the CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Deal spent four decades at the company. Apart from this, an overhaul of the company\u2019s management included CEO Dave Calhoun announcing his departure by year\u2019s end. News Agency<\/p>\n
In a letter to the staff on Wednesday, Pope said: \u201cThis is a pivotal moment for us, and we have serious work ahead to build trust and improve our operations.\u201d<\/p>\n
The new chief, who previously served as the chief operating officer, said that she would hold meetings with the team over the next weeks as they \u201cenhance and implement its safety and quality improvement plan\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur path forward is clear.
