\nResidents of Piro Khel tribe charged health staff of the labor room, District Headquarter Hospital, Landi Kotal for the alleged death of a woman and her baby and demanded of the health department to take stern action against them.
\nIt is to be mentioned here that the previous night the wife of Haji Rehman was brought to the DHQ,Landi Kotal for labor purposes. The on- duty gynecologist conducted a C-section operation but due to continued bleeding the patient was referred to Peshawar health center where she gave birth to a dead baby and as per doctors died of cardiac arrest because of excessive bleeding.
\nRelatives of the deceased and a number of social and political workers staged a protest demo in front of the casulity of DHQ Hospital, Landi Kotal on Saturday to denounce the labor room health staff where their negligence caused the death of mother and neonate last night.
\nVillage council chairman Sajjad Shinwari, Farman Shinwari and others blamed that the labor staffers in spite of lack of experience and facilities tackled complicate labor cases and after got serious asked attendants of the patients to take her to Peshawar hospital that was a deliberate attempt to kill them.
\nPresent case is not a single one but in the past carelessness of the health staff allegedly caused the death of scores of women during delivery that must be halted, they remarked.
\nThe protestors locked the main gate of DHQ, Hospital and threatened that till availing of justice, they would not give up their protest.
\nOn the other hand District Health Officer and Medical Superintendent Dr Zafar formulated a three members inquiry committee to sort out the facts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
