\nChief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur Saturday congratulated the best performance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa players in Australian Junior Squash Championship-2024.
\nIn a message of felicitations, the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur congratulated the players, both boys and girls from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who showed excellent performance in the Australian Junior Squash Championship-2024.
\nMahnoor Ali, Mehwish Ali, Fawad Khan, Yahya Khan and Ibrahim Zeb deserved congratulations for their outstanding performance in the Championship, Chief Minister KP, who himself use to play squash as U-11, U13 and U15 levels.
\nThese players made the name of the country and the province bright at the international level, he said. It is hoped that these junior players will play a role in bringing Pakistan back its lost position in the field of squash.
\nHe said sports sector is among the main priorities of the existing provincial government. The present provincial government will take coordinated measures for the promotion of sports in the province and would take concrete measures to get rid of those damaging the sports. Talented youth will be fully mentored in the field of sports, the Chief Minister said.
\nHe said all possible facilities would be provided to the athletes for the promotion of sports and for this good talented players would be encouraged, both financially and morally. He said a system would be introduced to facilitate the upcoming talented players so that they could achieve name and fame at international level.
\nPresident KP Olympic Association and former Senator and Sports Minister Syed Aqil Shah also lauded the performance of the players and congratulated the girls and boys players for winning medals in the Australian Junior Open. He said the government should give proper support both financially and morally. He said there is no sports activities since long in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nMeanwhile, the Pakistan Squash Team has once again showcased their exceptional talent and determination by clinching gold and bronze medals in the Australia Junior Squash Championship-2024 held at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre at Albert Park, Victoria.
\nIn a display of outstanding skill and perseverance, Pakistani players, both boys and girls, dominated the courts throughout the tournament, culminating in impressive victories on the final day.

\nHuzaifa Shahid (PAK) defeated 2nd seed Gng Hung Yu (AUS) by 3-0 (11-6, 11-3, 11-2)
\nU-15 Boys:
\nYahya Khan (PAK) triumphed over Henry Kross (AUS) by 3-0 (12-10, 11-7, 11-3)
\nBoys U-17:
\nIbrahim Zeb (PAK) secured victory against Brodie Bennett (NZ) by 3-0 (11-3, 11-7, 11-6)
\nGirls U-13:
\nMahnoor Ali (PAK) outshined Emily Senior (Malaysian) by 3-0 (11-5, 11-4, 11-4)
\nGirls U-17:
\nMehwish (PAK) emerged victorious over Erin Wyllie (Malaysian) by 3-2 (10-12, 11-6, 11-9, 9-11, 11-6)
\nAdditionally, M. Harmas Ali Raja in Under 11, Fawad Khan in Under 13, and Azaan Ali Khan in Under 15 categories have secured bronze medals, further highlighting Pakistan\u2019s success in the Championship.
