\nA case has been lodged against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Malik Tariq Awan for allegedly torturing a servant at guest house of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI)-backed Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) MNA Asif Khan in Peshawar. Police said the case was lodged on behalf of Asif\u2019s servant against the PML-N MPA on several charges including terrorism.
\nAccording to the first information report (FIR), a group of 20 people led by Awan came to the guest house and subjected the victim to torture. \u201cAt least five persons have been arrested on MNA Asif\u2019s report, which alleges Awan of attacking,\u201d said police. However, Superintendent Police Faqeerabad Usama Amin Cheema said no incident of firing took place during all that episode.
\nThe SP said workers of both the parties raised slogans against each other during the face-off. Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly secretary called on Awan at his house to inquire about his well-being.
