Premier meets Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Acting President Dr Mohammad Mokhber

\nPrime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday attended a memorial ceremony in Tehran for the late Iranian president, Ebrahim Raisi and his colleagues, who tragically died in a helicopter crash on May 19.
\nDuring the ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz visited the hall where the late president\u2019s body was laid and offered prayers for his soul, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister\u2019s Office.
\nHe paid tribute to President Raisi\u2019s contributions to the progress and prosperity of the Iranian people, the enhancement of Pakistan-Iran relations, and his services to the region.
\nPrime Minister Shehbaz extended condolences on behalf of the Pakistani government and people to Iran\u2019s Acting President Dr Mohammad Mokhber.
\n\u201cThe government and people of Pakistan are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the martyrdom of the Islamic Republic of Iran\u2019s President Dr Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hussein Amirabdollahian, and their colleagues,\u201d said the prime minister. \u201cWe express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the people of Iran during this time of sorrow,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif meets Acting President of Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Mohammad Mokhbar and offers condolence over the sad demise of Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi and his companions.

\u201cOur sympathies are with the families of the martyrs and the Iranian nation. The entire Pakistani nation stands with our brotherly country, Iran, in this moment of grief.\u201d
\nThe prime minister expressed his best wishes for Iran\u2019s acting president.
\nDeputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Federal Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Prime Minister\u2019s Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi accompanied Prime Minister Shehbaz at the ceremony.

\nPrime Minister Shehbaz also met with Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in Tehran. During the meeting, the prime minister expressed condolences over the tragic passing of President Raisi and his colleagues.
\n\u201cPresident Raisi was a visionary leader who remained steadfast in serving his country and people,\u201d said Prime Minister Shehbaz.
