\nThe tribesmen got hold of local grid when they forcibly entered into it against excessive power off here tehsil Landi Kotal on Wednesday.
\nScores of tribal people from political and social organizations gathered at Charwazai point and marched towards the local grid station.
\nWhile carrying black flags, they entered the local grid station peacefully and started a demonstration inside the premises of grid station.
\nThe grid station crew members fled the scene before the arrival of the protestors.
\nSpeaking on the occasion Tehsil Chairman Haji Shah Khalid, Pakistan People Party (PPP)district chief Shah Rehman,head of Qaumi Masail Committee, Landi Kotal Ilyas Shinwari and others said that last year, the TESCO official had agreed to provide six hours electricity to rural areas but ironically they could not materialize their pledge.
\nProlong and unscheduled power off has made their lives miserable, they added and said the issue of temporary scarcity of potable water has risen in the area.
\nThe protestors vowed that until resuming of electricity as per old schedule i.e. six hours round the clock, they will not give up their protest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
