Court rejects exemption from attendance plea of woman
\n RAWALPINDI
\nAdditional and District Sessions Judge Rawalpindi Khalid Mehmood Cheema has dismissed the exemption from attendance plea of the woman nominated in the case of alleged misbehave with Motorway police.
\nThe court also rejected the interim bail plea of the lady being not persuaded.
\nThe court while adjourning the proceedings regarding bail plea of other woman till June 24 has summoned investigating officer on next hearing.
\nDuring the hearing of the case Anza Akhund who is nominated in the case sent exemption plea. The court while rejecting the exemption plea also dismissed her interim bail plea for not being persuaded by her and due to her absence.
\nDuring the hearing of the case neither the investigating officer furnished record of the case nor the lawyers of the respondents gave arguments on bail plea.
\nThe court while adjourning the hearing without proceedings fixed June 24 for hearing of bail plea of Minhal Suleman nominated in the case.
\nThe court directed the investigating officer to complete the investigation and submit record of the case on next hearing.
\nIt may be mentioned that Kallar Kahar police had registered case no 255 under section 20 of Prevention of electronic crime act-2016 and relevant sections of Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of Sami ur Rehman inspector of motorway police.
\nAs per context of the case the applicant was deployed on speed checking along with his team when he saw a car which was being driven by a woman was coming in salt range area at the speed of 80 kilometer per hour instead of 40 kilometer per hour. He signaled her to stop and she stopped the car in the mid of road. She was asked to move the car to side. But she neither moved the car to side nor were the documents presented by her for checking . In the meantime the woman who was sitting on the side seat started making video. She kept on threatening and hurling abuses.
