\nChairman of the Education council, Hafiz Muhammad Zubier rejected the inquiry report of national accountability bureau (NAB) and said that it is an attempt to defame the integrity of the teachers.
\n\u201cThe names of the principal, focal person or other responsible persons were included without any inquiry\u201d, he said. In a press statement issued here on Saturday Hafiz Zubier said that in this connection a representative delegation of School Officers Association, Management Cadre Association and Education Council Mardan met the District Education Officer (DEO) Mardan Zahid Muhammad on behalf of the directorate.
\nHe added that in the light of the NAB inquiry report regarding textbooks, the nominations of schools heads, focal persons and teachers in charge of FTB from all DEOs were strongly condemned for the irregularities in the supply and demand of free textbooks and the collection of money from them.
\nHe added that it was declared as the link of a failed attempt to damage the integrity of the teachers under a formal conspiracy. Hafiz Zubier added that the representative delegation informed the DEO about their concerns regarding this letter and warned that if the name of any principal, focal person or other responsible person from Mardan district is reported without the nomination of investigation report and relevant evidence the SoA, Education Council Mardan and MCA will not accepted it under any circumstances and the door of court will be knocked against every such illegal and so called nominating authority and DEO office will not be co-operated until proven innocent.
\nHe added that the record of free textbooks is available with every school and there is no irregularity in the records of the District Focal Person, so they will not be allowed to insult the teachers by making such baseless allegations of corruption. Hafiz Zubier added that the delegation questioned that without bringing to the knowledge of the Secretary Education, Director Education and the concerned officials of the Secretariat, who called the meeting of the DEOs in the last week of June.
\nHe added that in this regard, we are doing legal consultation and that the officers who call the meeting based on insulting the teachers without informing the authority will be prosecuted.
\nHe argued that the delegation told the EDO that the record of any school was not checked in Mardan regarding the FTB inquiry and neither was the FTB record of the district office reviewed. He added that under which law they were charged without investigation and without hearing the parties and also issued recovery orders from them.
\nHe added that the delegation demanded from the authorities of the education department that in the process of investigation regarding the free textbooks that has been going on for seven years, why the records of a single school were not checked and according to which law and evidence, every head and every focal person of every school proved responsible and fixed the self-imposed rate of recovery.
\nHe added that the delegation also demanded that the FTB inquiry report should be made public and if the responsibility has been imposed on anyone based on solid evidence in this report, then the scope of the investigation should be widened by giving them the legal right to clean up and disciplinary action should be taken against the elements involved in insulting the teachers of the whole province on the basis of wrong data.
\nHafiz Zubier added that the delegation demanded that the scope of investigation should be widened to the quality of paper, binding and printing of the textbooks that are printed every year with billions of rupees from the national treasury.
\nHe added that the issue of illegal recovery from teachers without investigation will be challenged in the court as soon as possible after consultation with the legal team.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
