{"id":418471,"date":"2024-07-15T09:17:59","date_gmt":"2024-07-15T04:17:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=418471"},"modified":"2024-07-15T09:17:59","modified_gmt":"2024-07-15T04:17:59","slug":"pti-demands-hearing-from-sc-for-recovery-of-detained-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/pti-demands-hearing-from-sc-for-recovery-of-detained-members\/","title":{"rendered":"PTI demands hearing from SC for recovery of detained members"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Party leaders ask for judicial relief citing concerns over rule of law and human rights violations<br \/>\n Islamabad<br \/>\nLeaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have called for a hearing from the Supreme Court to seek the recovery of their detained members, stating that their National Assembly members and other leaders have been unlawfully detained.<br \/>\nAddressing a press conference alongside other party leaders in Islamabad on Sunday, PTI Chairman Gohar Ali Khan emphasised PTI\u2019s resilience as one of the strongest political parties.<br \/>\nThey expressed respect for decisions of the Supreme Court and the independent judiciary, noting that they have been directed to collect sworn statements from departing 41 members, who will then become PTI members.<br \/>\n\u201cWe have already collected sworn statements from 25 individuals,\u201d Barrister Gohar stated. \u201cFollowing the Supreme Court\u2019s directives, our National Assembly member Aamir Sultan has been detained. Our colleagues Rizwan and National Assembly member Fiaz Chaudhry\u2019s brother have also been detained, with violence inflicted on their 16-year-old son witnessed by his mother,\u201d he added.<br \/>\nKhan further highlighted, \u201cThe Supreme Court has mandated that no one should be detained illegally.
