\nPolitcal dialogue is a prerequisite for solution of all problems whether it is related to constitution and legal emerged after the judgment of Apex Court on PTI\u2019s reserved seats, experts say.
\nFollowing the recent majority verdict of the Supreme Court on reserved seats of Pakistan Tahrik e Insaf and Infrmation Minister\u2019s announcement to impose a ban on PTI due to its alleged involvement in anti state activities, it was necessary that the rulling coalition government and opposition parties should immediatly sit togather for a inclusive political dialogue imperative to take the ship of democracy forward and the mandate given by people of Pakistan during February 8, 2024 election were respected.
\n\u201cThe 1973 constitution has fixed powers of all state institutions including legislature, executive and judiciary. The country would move on the path of democracy and rule of law only when these institutions perform its role within the constitution ambit and respect the mandate of electorates, given to politcal parties in last general election,\u201d said Professor Dr A.H. Hilali, former Chairman, Political Science Department, University of Peshawar while talking to APP.
\nHe said that great onus lied on the shoulders of treasury and opposition benches to immediatly sit togather for a grand political dialogue and find out solution of all the existing politcal issues in the parliament.
\nHe said filing of a review appeal in SC against the majority judges judgment on the reserved seats was a best legal option.
\nDr Hilali said that deviation from constitution may lead to serious political and judicial crises besides creating anarchy in the society.
\nExpressing the hope that PTI leadership would review its aggressive politics and sit with the Govt for solution of all issues through democratic means, he said that Pakistan could not afford politics of negativity and blame games any more.
\n\u201cPakistan is passing through a difficult political, economic and legal phase since of its creation 76 years ago and it was the spirit of age that all political and religious parties leadership and heads of the state institutions work with harmony and cohesion to make the country\u2019s economically prosperous,\u201d he said.
\nDemocracy will flourish when the national economy delivers and state institutions work with harmony and mutual coexistence.
\nHe said the wrangling between state institutions would serve no objective rather than destabilize the country, which has already been confronted to serious economic challenges and urged political leadership of both the government and opposition to sit together for initiation of a result-oriented grand dialogue to take the ship of democracy to the safe shore.
\nDr Hilali urged state institutions to show maximum restraint and work under its constitutional ambit imperative for a sustainable democracy and supremacy of rule of law and constitution in Pakistan.
\nHe said that constructive negotiations with the IMF were held by the government to take the country out of the economic and financial challenges.
\nDr Hilali said that democracy had been derailed four times in Pakistan due to wrangling among politcal forces in the past, resulting suffering of people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
