\nThe Cantonment Board Peshawar (CBP) provided extensive services to facilitate the Muharram processions and gatherings in the Peshawar Cantt area, showcasing their commitment to public service.
\nA statement issued here said that the board undertook repair and maintenance work on routes leading to Imambargah Hussainia Hall wa Imamia Masjid, installed additional lights, and conducted road marking and cleanliness activities.
\nThe CBP ensured the provision of portable washrooms and water supply to meet the basic needs of the participants. Moreover Sanitation services were also deployed to maintain cleanliness in the area, with sanitation workers working tirelessly to ensure that the surroundings were kept clean and hygienic.
\nIn addition, the fire brigade crew was deployed with three vehicles to tackle any emergent situation. The fire brigade crew was equipped with necessary equipment and personnel to respond to any emergency situation that may arise.
\nMedical and para-medical staff were also on standby with ambulances to handle any emergent situations. Irfan Ahmed, Cantonment Executive Officer, developed a comprehensive plan to ensure seamless services.
\nEarlier On the eve of Muharram Ul Haram, Station Commander Peshawar and President of the Cantonment Board, Brigadier Omer Saeed, had given directions to the CBP to ensure the smooth execution of Muharram Ul Haram proceedings in the Peshawar Cantt area. Irfan Ahmed cantonment executive officer framed a comprehensive plan for executing all the activities in efficient manner by assigning responsibility to different officers and officials .
\nIn this connection Mr. Yadullah Khan Bangash, Vice President of the Cantonment Board, along with elected members Osaid Sethi and Naeem Bakhsh, paid visits to Imambargah Hussainia Hall wa Imamia Masjid to ensure the needs of the community were being met. Bibi Amna Zafar, Additional Cantonment Executive Officer, remained in the field to ensure activities were carried out as planned.
\nThe community widely appreciated the CBP\u2019s dedication to ensuring a peaceful and smooth Muharram. The successful execution of the proceedings was a testament to the CBP\u2019s commitment to public service and their ability to work under pressure.
