\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) on Sunday launched a special registration, monitoring, and enforcement drive in the Galiyat, Naran, and Kaghan regions to facilitate businesses associated with the services sector and ensure tax compliance.
\nTeams of KPRA officers will visit the business premises of service providers to provide on-the-spot registration.
\nThe teams will examine the sales records of service providers already registered with KPRA to ensure tax compliance and discourage tax evasion.
\nDirector General Fauzia Iqbal stated that the purpose of initiating this special campaign is to facilitate the registration process for businesspersons in these areas, improve tax compliance, and ensure that the tax paid by taxpayers is reaching the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government treasury.
\nFauzia Iqbal urged tourists visiting these spots to pay their taxes as a national responsibility. Tax evasion will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and strict legal action will be taken against those involved in tax evasion, she said.
\nPaying taxes is our legal obligation. Your taxes will not only make your province financially stable, but the funds will be spent on the development and beautification of these areas, providing you with the best possible facilities and enhancing the beauty of these scenic areas.
\nThis will help the businesses operating in these areas to thrive, and our province will proceed on the path to prosperity.
\nAddressing the businesspersons, she said that the tax paid by the public is entrusted to them by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, and it is their legal responsibility to submit the tax money to the government\u2019s treasury with full honesty.
