(USAID) Land Registration in Merged Areas (LRMA) activity today held the third Sports Gala at a local hotel in Peshawar to provide a healthy platform for the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s (KP) Merged Areas in general and Hassan Khel sub-division in particular, to showcase their sports skills while at the same time informing the players and the spectators about their land ownership and transfer rights.<br \/>\n\u201cThe event has provided us with an opportunity to reach out to the Merged Areas Youth collectively to educate them about the importance of land registration and transparency of land titles in these areas,\u201d said Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif (Advisor to Chief Minister KP on Information).<br \/>\nMr. Amjad Miraj, Secretary-I, KP Board of Revenue highlighted the importance of youth engagement in land registration efforts by exclaiming, \u201cThe absence of verifiable land registration often leads to land disputes and incidents involving loss of lives due to unclear land ownership.\u201d<br \/>\nThe 5-day event will feature the youth of Hassan Khel competing in football, cricket, volleyball, badminton, and table tennis matches, with many government representatives and more than 200 youth, university students, academics, and media watching.<br \/>\n\u201cBuilding trust, raising awareness, and promoting collaboration between the state and its citizens are crucial for sustainable land governance and community development,\u201d said Mr. Irfan Younas, Lead Communications and Public Outreach USAID LRMA Activity. \u201cWe are proud to support the KP government in educating its people.\u201d<br \/>\nThese sports events will be followed by more than 20 awareness-raising sessions to educate the youth and the broader community in the merged
