\nChairman and founder of the Amun Taraqqi Party Muhammad Faiq Shah concerned over frequent increase in electricity tariff and price-hike. In a statement here on Saturday, Shah said the life of the common man has been made miserable owing to the consistently surge in electricity rates.
\nHe added prices of daily use items have become dearer. The ATP chief said people were compelled to sell household items to pay high-tariff electricity bills. He said political films and dramas of accountability are being run to divert attention from public real issues.
\nShah said people have fed up from such drama and film and they were unable to earn livelihoods for the poor families.
\nHe said white-collar and middle class people have been forced into begging whereas life of salaried class also made it difficult.
\nThe party leader said owing to high prices, daily use items were out of common man purchasing power.
\nHe maintained the whole Pakistan has been made explosive of anger and sentiments, which would explode anytime.
\nWould people hit by hunger and starvation be put behind the bars?
\nFaiq demanded concrete steps to resolve issues.
\nHe witnessed that anti-people attitude in assemblies, court, police stations and administrative institutions.
\nThe ATP chief said everyone is plundering and wrapping up.
\nNo one is aware about public miseries, he added.
\nShah said basic amenities like Roti, water were unavailable to people while the future of education and health was also bleak.
\nSuch people cannot give advice but justice is a prime requirement, he added.
\nWe want to bring up people for economic justice, political reforms and real democracy to make decisions for the future on their own.
\nThe ATP chairman said one drama concluded and a new one began to keep people engaged.
\nNow, this drama has flopped, he added.
\nHe emphasized reforms in the system are inevitable instead of change of personalities.
\nShah said skills and strategy already existed.
