\nChairman and founder of the Amun Taraqqi Party Muhammad Faiq Shah asked for curtailment in lavish government\u2019 expenditures.
\nHe called for enforcement of equal law for elite and poor segments of the society.
\nFaiq was chairing a review meeting on performance of the incumbent government and political scenario here at the party secretariat on Friday.
\nThe party leader called upon the government to adopt austerity measures and provide relief to the people to offset the effects of the increase in the rates of the electricity tariff.
\n\u201cThe government should reduce its expenditure to improve the economic condition and lessen the burden on the poor,\u201d
\nShah said an echo has risen up throughout the country which is justice, justice, people, price-hike, heavy-tariff electricity bills and unjust taxation, which had been imposed on masses, plaguing them into mental agony.
\nHe said peace and stability an utmost need of the people as their life and properties were in danger under the prevailing circumstances.
\nFaiq said it is the prime duty of the government to ensure protection of lives and property of the masses.
\nHe made it clear that anarchy and chaos won\u2019t be eliminated until provision of social and economic justice.
\nThe party leader said all resources and funds had been spent on protection of parliamentarians, cabinet members and special aides and their services but the general masses were feeling themselves insecure socially and economically and security wise.
\nShah said ATP has already given viable proposals for erecting a security network across the country and stressed the need of its implementation with true spirit.
\nHe said a million has spent on a minister per month but performance is zero.
\nIs this principle for a country which is trapped under foreign loans correct?
\nThis is a picture of slavery, Shah said.
\nThe ATP chief clarified the dream of peace and stability cannot come true until provision for justice and authority to people.
