\nChief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Friday expressed grief and sorrow over the death of 12 people of a single family in a landslide incident in Upper Dir district.
\nIn his condolence message, the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur has expressed his condolences and regret over the incident, offering heartfelt sympathy to the affected families.
\nHe announced financial assistance for the heirs and directed the local administration to take necessary actions.
\nThe Chief Minister shared in the grief of the bereaved, showing his support during this difficult time.
\nAccording to the district administration of Dir, at least 12 people including nine children of the same family lost their lives after their house was wrecked by a massive landslide.
\nThe officials said that the deceased includes nine children, two women, and one man.
\nPolice stated that all 12 bodies have been retrieved from the debris and sent to the hospital for medico-legal formalities.
\nKP Information Adviser Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif and provincial minister for higher education have also expressed regret over the incident, saying they are deeply saddened by the deaths of the 12 family members due to landsliding.
\n\u201cWe are standing with the bereaved families in this difficult time of sorrow,\u201d said Barrister Saif while directing all authorities concerned including Rescue 1122 to remain on alert.
\nThe KP information adviser said an advisory has been issued regarding landslides and flooding in mountainous areas, adding that advance measures have been taken to reduce losses in natural calamities.
