\nThe spokesperson of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif on Saturday said that promoting tourism in the province was a top priority for the government and aligns with the vision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
\nBarrister Dr. Mohammad Ali Saif and Special Assistant on Industries, Commerce and Technical Education, Abdul Karim Tordher inaugurated a private IYI Luxury Hotel at Bagh Dherai, District Swat, said an official handout.
\nHe said that tourism promotion can enhance the country\u2019s soft image globally and also significantly contribute to strengthening the national economy.
\n\u201cIn essence, the government recognizes the potential of tourism to boost the country\u2019s reputation and economic growth, and is committed to developing the sector,\u201d Barrister Saif added.
\nOn arrival in Swat, local member of the provincial assembly (MPA) Mohammad Naeem and MNA Sohail Sultan welcomed the guests.
\nOn this occasion, the management of the hotel gave a detailed briefing to the advisor and special assistant and told that the facility comprising tents and concrete has cost Rs.700 million.
\nBesides, Director (Business Facilitation) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade (KP-BoIT) Iqbal Sarwar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the hotel, Abdul Mateen, government officials, investors and a large number of local notables also attended the inaugural ceremony.
\nHe congratulated both the investors and KP-BoIT for construction of the unique luxury hotel in Swat.
\nHe assured the people of Swat that the provincial government supports and not only attracts domestic tourists from across the country rather foreign tourists from all parts of the world.
\nIn his address, Special Assistant to KP Chief Minister on Industries, Commerce and Technical Education, Abdul Karim Tordher appreciated the efforts of the KP-BoIT for making possible the huge investment of Rs.700 million in the hotel industry of the province.
\nHe also termed a big success towards the promotion of tourism and hotel industry in the region.<\/p>\n
He said that the board has extended full cooperation to the investors\u2019 groups during all phases of the project and expressed his hope that it would prove a modern and high standard facility for the arrival and stay of tourists in Swat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
