Asad Qaiser laments Akhtar Mengal\u2019s resignation from National Assembly, calling it \u2018a regrettable development\u2019

\nThe Opposition Grand Alliance \u2013 Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ayeen Pakistan (TTAP) \u2013 has called for an All Parties Conference (APC) to address the worsening security situation in Balochistan, expressing deep concern over the province\u2019s current state of affairs.
\nDuring a press conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, PTI leader Asad Qaiser stated, \u201cOur alliance is seriously concerned about the situation in Balochistan. We will meet with the National Assembly speaker and urge him to take action, including convening an APC on Balochistan.\u201d
\nQaiser emphasised the need to address the grievances of \u201cour estranged Baloch brothers,\u201d noting that despite raising the issue in the assembly, the government has shown little interest. He also lamented Akhtar Mengal\u2019s resignation from the National Assembly, calling it \u201ca regrettable development.\u201d
\nHe stressed the importance of a serious discussion on Balochistan, warning, \u201cOur enemies are exploiting this situation. We are planning nationwide protests and rallies, including a day of countrywide demonstrations.\u201d
\nLatif Khosa criticised the government\u2019s economic policies and attempts to amend the Constitution, which he said have caused widespread public concern. \u201cThey don\u2019t have the two-thirds majority to amend the Constitution, so they should stop this talk,\u201d Khosa said.
\nKhosa also commented on the Mubarak Sani case, calling the verdict a \u201cgrave mistake\u201d and explaining that it forced them to postpone their rally. \u201cBut our rally on September 8 is final,\u201d he said, adding that the Pakistani people will show their support for Imran Khan.
\nA committee, headed by Sahibzada Hamid Raza and including Khosa, has been formed to coordinate the APC. \u201cWe want to resolve these issues through an APC,\u201d Khosa said, adding that the opposition aims to save Pakistan and uphold the rule of law.
\nMahmood Khan Achakzai echoed Khosa\u2019s sentiments, calling it a positive sign that all parties believe in the supremacy of the Constitution. He announced the formation of a committee that will start working immediately to arrange the APC.
\n\u201cIf our demands are not met, we will launch nationwide protests,\u201d Achakzai warned, but added that if the APC is held, \u201cwe won\u2019t need to resort to protests.\u201d He also assigned Asad Qaiser the task of meeting with Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.
\nAchakzai criticised the indifference towards the crisis in Balochistan, saying, \u201cWe are laughing while Balochistan burns. All parties must agree to remove the entrenched elite families.\u201d
\nRaoof Hasan reiterated that their rally would go ahead as planned, regardless of any obstacles posed by the administration. \u201cHamid Raza will lead the rally,\u201d Hassan said, adding that the APC will also address other national issues. He called Akhtar Mengal\u2019s resignation \u201calarming\u201d and \u201cdisappointing,\u201d noting that another delegation will meet Mengal in an effort to resolve the matter within parliament.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
