\nAdvisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Finance Muzammil Aslam has responded to the federal government\u2019s decision on the closure of the utility stores nationwide, stating that the province will hold consultation meetings to keep the stores active. In a video message, Aslam stated that a consultation meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to discuss the future of utility stores in the province.
\nAslam emphasized that the provincial government is committed to finding a solution to keep utility stores active in KP.
\nA proposal was made to request employees and assets from the federation, and to keep utility store employees on contract, he shared.
\nAslam revealed that 817 utility stores operate in KP, with 2,249 employees, adding that the Finance Department has been tasked with collecting data on these stores.
\nThe advisor emphasized that efforts will be made to keep all employees on contract, even those who are ineligible. He suggested that other provinces follow KP\u2019s lead in taking measures to protect utility store assets and employees.
