{"id":430407,"date":"2024-09-11T09:00:20","date_gmt":"2024-09-11T04:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=430407"},"modified":"2024-09-11T09:00:20","modified_gmt":"2024-09-11T04:00:20","slug":"aman-jirga-to-provide-assistance-to-kps-transgender-persons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/aman-jirga-to-provide-assistance-to-kps-transgender-persons\/","title":{"rendered":"Aman Jirga to provide assistance to KP\u2019s transgender persons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DLP Report<br \/>\nPeshawar<br \/>\nThe Provincial Aman (Peace) Jirga Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Transgender Association have signed an agreement to address the problems faced by transgender persons in the province.<br \/>\nAddressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club (PPC) Aman Jirga Chief Syed Kamal Shah Bacha revealed that the agreement aimed at providing assistance in investigating the murders of 140 transgender persons, offer free legal aid, and ensure their protection.<br \/>\n\u201cThe agreement also includes measures to prevent drug use and sale around transgender residences, establish a code of conduct, and provide security measures with the help of Aman Jirga, including CCTV camera installation,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nSyed Kamal Shah Bacha and General Secretary Arshad Manan announced that the agreement addresses various issues, including daily attacks and safety concerns.<br \/>\nThe agreement also includes a ban on programs in open places, skill development programs, health card issuance, and rehabilitation programs for drug addicts.<br \/>\nA core committee will be formed to find solutions to transgender issues, and the Provincial Peace Jirga will work with the administration to address their problems.<br \/>\nShah assured that work on these facilities will commence soon, and the core committee will collaborate with police and stakeholders to resolve transgender persons issues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DLP Report Peshawar The Provincial Aman (Peace) Jirga Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Transgender Association have signed an agreement to address the problems faced by transgender persons in the province.
