\nIn light of the provincial government\u2019s public agenda, the week-long women\u2019s week celebrations concluded on Thursday at Hayatabad Sports Complex. Provincial Ombudsperson, Rakhshanda Naz, attended the concluding ceremony as the chief guest and emphasized the importance of women\u2019s rights and their development. \u201cWomen are the foundation of our society, and their role is pivotal not only within a family but in the entire society\u201d, she stated.
\nShe added that they play a very important role in various sectors including education, health, economy, and social development. The provincial Ombudsperson further said that encouraging women\u2019s participation brings positive changes to society and lays the groundwork for a better future.
\nThe event was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Relief) Uzma Mukarram, Assistant Commissioner Ayesha Tahir, Additional Assistant Commissioner Haseena Kamran, and Additional Assistant Commissioner Misbah Waheed, along with female police officers, female officials from the education department, students, and women from various walks of life.
\nThe District Administration of Peshawar organized the event in collaboration with the District Youth Office and the Sports Department. During Women\u2019s Week, various sports competitions were held among female students in government schools. The week-long series of events also included a Milad un Nabi organized at Darul Aman Women\u2019s Crisis Center in the context of Rabi\u2019 al-Awwal.
\nAt the end of the event, prizes and shields were distributed among the female students and women who excelled in the competitions. The event was meant to highlight the strength, determination, and vital role of women in society.
