\nFormer Federal Minister and known industrialist, Jahangir Khan Tareen and owner of Multan Sultans Saturday visited Tareen Cricket Academy in his native area Lodhran district where he met with the players.
\nDuring his visit to the Tareen Cricket Academy, Jahangir Khan Tareen highlighted the transformative power of sports in empowering young women from underprivileged areas. He stated, \u201cCricket not only builds careers and confidence but also breaks the status quo when women are involved. We must continue to encourage more participation of women in sports, as it leads to healthier communities and a brighter future for the next generation.\u201d
\nAli Khan Tareen, owner of the Multan Sultans, discussed the academy\u2019s grassroots initiatives, emphasizing its commitment to providing top-notch facilities and coaching for female cricketers. Several players, including Sher Bano, Nasreen Ashraf, Sawera Zafer, and Rameen Roshan, have already made their mark by representing the region in national PCB tournaments.
\nAli Tareen further stated, \u201cOur focus is now on women empowerment, as the progress of women will drive the overall development of our region. With our full potential, we will continue to complete welfare projects in education, health, sports, and women empowerment. We will provide every possible facility to women interested in sports.\u201d
\nTo support and encourage the players, Ali Tareen also distributed international-standard cricket bats from England to the girls, demonstrating the academy\u2019s commitment to their development.
\nJehangir Khan Tareen on this occasion assured young women players that they would be looked after well in the Academy by providing them international standard facilities so that they would be able to show their hidden talent and should play for the country at international level.
\nHe said their aim is to provide equal opportunities to female and male associated with Multan Sultans and should involve a maximum number of youth by imparting them international stand coaching during their stay in Tareen Cricket Academy.
\nHe said playing with international standard equipment means ensuring proper playing gears so as to polish their real skills one has. \u201cWe think and believe in equality and that is why we want to encourage more participation of women in sports,\u201d Jahangir Khan Tareen said.
\nThe women players also thanked Jahangir Khan Tareen and termed it an honor to be part of the Tareen Cricket Academy wherein players from all around different villages and cities are country under training.
