\nThe Chainstore Association of Pakistan (CAP) has announced the election of Asfandyar Farrukh as its new Chairman. As a founding member of the Association, Mr. Farrukh\u2019s leadership is expected to drive innovation and growth within the retail sector.
\nHis appointment was confirmed during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the CAP head office in Lahore, officially assuming his role on Monday.
\nMr. Farrukh brings a wealth of experience and insight to the position, having been actively involved in the development and growth of the retail landscape in Pakistan.
\nHis vision for the Association includes fostering collaboration among members, advocating for industry standards, and addressing the evolving needs of retailers in a rapidly changing marketplace.
\nIn addition to Mr. Farrukh\u2019s appointment, the AGM also welcomed a new slate of office bearers. Ahsen Mahmood from Charcoal has been elected as Senior Vice Chairman, and Altaf Hashwani from Sana Safinaz will serve as Vice Chairman.
\nThese appointments reflect the Association\u2019s commitment to strong leadership and strategic direction.
\nThe newly formed executive committee includes a diverse group of esteemed industry professionals, each bringing unique expertise and perspective.
\nThe committee members are: Muhammad Fahad Dandia from Effjay Apparel, Shahzad Mobin from WalkEaze, Jawad Musaddiq from Urbansole, Mustafa Zaman from Sefam (Pvt) Ltd, Muhammad Imran Saleemi from Rainbow Cash & Carry, Muhammad Qasim from Firhaj Footwear (Pvt) Ltd, Wahaaj Tariq from Maypole (Pvt) Ltd, Women entrepreneurs Hasina Hasnain from A. Moosajee Sons and Naila Naqvi from Pie in the Sky.
\nThis dynamic team is poised to tackle the challenges facing the retail industry, championing initiatives that promote sustainability, innovation, and consumer engagement.
\nMr. Rana Tariq Mehboob, the outgoing Chairman of CAP, will continue to support the Association in his role as Patron-in-Chief.
\nHis extensive experience and commitment to the retail sector will remain invaluable as the new leadership embarks on its agenda.
