{"id":435128,"date":"2024-10-04T08:36:44","date_gmt":"2024-10-04T03:36:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=435128"},"modified":"2024-10-04T08:36:44","modified_gmt":"2024-10-04T03:36:44","slug":"speakers-disapprove-post-graduate-college-landi-kotal-affiliation-with-fata-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/speakers-disapprove-post-graduate-college-landi-kotal-affiliation-with-fata-university\/","title":{"rendered":"Speakers disapprove Post Graduate College, Landi Kotal affiliation with FATA university"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> KHYBER<br \/>\nPeople from different walks of life objected to the affiliation of Government Post Graduate, Landi Kotal with University of FATA and demanded of the Provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to revise its decision in the best interest of the local students.<br \/>\nSpeaking in \u201cMeet the Press\u201d program held in Landi Kotal press club, district on Thursday Tehsil Chairman Haji Shah Khalid, President Sayasi Ittehad,Landi Kotal Murad Hussain Afridi,Pakistan People Party District Chief Shah Rehman Shinwari,representative of Khyber Law Forum lawyer Zohaib Shinwari,scholar Dr Sadaqat Khan, students leader of Post Graduate College, Landi Kotal Raj Wali and others said that education was inevitable for all kinds of development however anti-students and education policies proved unserious attitude of the incumbent government toward it.<br \/>\nAccording to the University Act 2012,every university has its own jurisdiction and as per rules Post Graduate College, Landi Kotal should be affiliated with University of Peshawar (UoP) but ironically, the government have decided to affiliate it with FATA University that is injustice to the students of Landi Kotal, they remarked.<br \/>\nThey maintained that how can the local students approve the affiliation with the institution that has not been recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC).<br \/>\nBesides being located near to district Khyber, the UoP had a rich history in addition with provision of necessary facilities compulsory for studying and teaching as compared to the FATA University, they opined.<br \/>\nThey came hard on Parliamentarians from the constituency and said they had turned blind eyes to the miseries of the masses.<br \/>\nThey vowed that all forums including legal ones would be utilized to safeguard the interests of the students.<br \/>\nIt is to be stated here that students of Post Graduate College, Landi Kotal have boycotted their classes for the last six days against the affiliation of the college with the FATA University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KHYBER People from different walks of life objected to the affiliation of Government Post Graduate, Landi Kotal with University of FATA and demanded of the Provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to revise its decision in the best interest of the local students.
