\nSyed Qamar Raza, Chairman BoG, Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) complimented the overseas Pakistani community for their contribution to strengthening the national economy through their remittances and projecting a soft image of Pakistan abroad.
\nHe was speaking at a function for the Pakistani community living in USA, organized by him at the Embassy of Pakistan, Washington. He highlighted the welfare services available to the diaspora through the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation.
\nHe also added that an Advisory Council of two hundred prominent overseas Pakistanis is being launched to broaden the welfare scope of OPF along with devising plans collectively for the development and progress of the country.
\nThe Chairman, BOG, OPF emphasized that the community should enhance per annum remittances to pull the country out of the financial crisis.
\nHe also stressed upon the community to maintain unity among themselves which is needed for the development and progress of the country irrespective of their political affiliation.
\nH.E. Rizwan Saeed Shaikh, Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to the USA while addressing the function assured the Pakistani community of all sorts of support and cooperation.
\nHe offered that the Embassy\u2019s doors are always open for the efforts and activities to be made for the welfare and progress of Pakistan.
\nHe suggested that the community maintain good relations with the American people which are vital for the revival and strengthening of our economy.
\nThe prominent Pakistani leaders, Mr. Jawad Shirazi, Mr. Asad Chaudhry, Ms. Ayesha Khan and Mr. Mazhar Chughtai also addressed the gathering, extended their support and cooperation to Chairman, Syed Qamar Raza for his efforts to facilitate overseas Pakistanis and to enhance their role in making Pakistan strong and prosperous.
\nThe Chairman also met with Mr. Sajid Tarar, a prominent businessman in the USA and former adviser to President Donald Trump.
\nDuring the meeting, the discussion focused primarily on Pakistan\u2019s relations with USA and issues pertaining to Pakistani Community.
\nChairman, Syed Qamar Raza praised Mr. Tarar for his services to the Pakistanis in USA and fostering relations between the people of two countries.
