Meanwhile, right-handed batter Asad Shafiq retained his membership of the committee.<br \/>\nAccording to sources, Javed will oversee other key matters of committee while top-order batter Ali has been tasked with youth development chores. Furthermore, Cheema will serve as the data analyst for the selection team.<br \/>\nThe previous selection committee consisted of members such as the captain, head coach, Shafiq, and five non-voting members.<br \/>\nThe latest development comes two weeks after former cricketer Muhammad Yousuf resigned from his position.<br \/>\nIn a statement on X, Yousuf said: \u201cI announce my resignation as a selector for the Pakistan cricket team for \u2018personal reasons\u2019.<br \/>\nServing this incredible team has been a profound privilege, and I am proud to have contributed to the growth and success of Pakistan Cricket\u201d.<br \/>\nIn regard to this, the new roles of the captain, head coach, and the non-voting five members in the new selection team is yet to be announced by the national board in the forthcoming week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday announced changes to the national selection committee, adding some former Pakistani cricketers to the body.
