\nA week-long anti-polio campaign kicked off in Peshawar on October 28, aiming to immunize 865,755 children and bring the city closer to eradicating polio.
\nDeputy Commissioner (DC) Sarmad Salim Akram inaugurated the campaign by administering polio drops to children and visiting health centers and neighborhoods to monitor efforts and engage with parents on the importance of vaccination.
\nAddressing parents, Akram emphasized that polio vaccination is essential not only for their children\u2019s health but also for the well-being of the entire society. He urged parents to actively participate in the campaign to help eliminate polio.
\nThe DC Peshawar praised the dedication of polio teams, acknowledging their efforts as crucial to achieving a polio-free Peshawar. Strict safety measures are in place, ensuring teams reach every area to vaccinate children. He appealed to the public for their full cooperation in protecting children from this preventable disease.
