\nThe Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is set to host the province\u2019s first-ever Horse and Cattle Show, beginning November 8 at the Sher Khan Stadium, Peshawar.
\nAccording to an official handout, the three-day event will feature a range of activities, including traditional sports, musical performances for families, and poetry recitals in Urdu, Pashto, and Saraiki.
\nChief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will officially inaugurate the festival, which aims to celebrate and preserve Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s rich cultural heritage.
\nSpeaking to the media, Director General Sports Abdul Nasser, alongside Director of Operations Nimatullah Marwat and Deputy Director Jamshed Baloch, highlighted the event\u2019s focus on promoting traditional sports and community engagement.
\nThe show will feature an array of traditional games, such as javelin throwing, mukha, kadka, dudas, kabaddi, dangal, koda, gatka, and stone-lifting competitions.
\nUnique attractions like camel and horse dances, as well as animal races\u2014including a hunting dog race\u2014will add to the festival\u2019s appeal.
\nA competition for the highest milk-producing animal is also planned.
\nDG Sports Abdul Nasser emphasized the provincial government\u2019s commitment to keeping local traditions alive through initiatives like these.
\nA cash prize of Rs 10 million will be awarded to top performers across various events, marking a significant investment in cultural and sports development.
