Accuses govt of rigging polls

\nPTI Central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram has strongly condemned the current government, accusing it of rigging the elections and creating a \u201cfake government.\u201d Speaking at a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, Akram claimed that there was no rule of law in the country, and efforts were being made to silence dissenting voices.
\nHe further stated that PTI Chairman Imran Khan and other party leaders had been unlawfully detained, and peaceful protests were being organized across the country to demand their release.
\n\u201cEfforts are being made to prevent anyone from raising their voice,\u201d Akram asserted, highlighting the widespread protests in Punjab. He said that even under martial law, such repression had not been seen.
\nHe condemned the use of expired tear gas against PTI workers and criticized the government\u2019s treatment of the party\u2019s leadership.
\nAkram also addressed the legal challenges faced by PTI, noting that despite several requests, there had been no production order for Imran Khan since May 9.
\nHe claimed that PTI members in military custody were facing extreme conditions, with some reportedly attempting suicide. However, he emphasized that PTI would continue its peaceful political struggle and would not back down from its demand for justice.
\nThe PTI Information Secretary called for mass mobilization, with convoys from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab set to depart for Islamabad for a major protest on November 24. \u201cThis protest will be peaceful, but it will not end until our demands are met,\u201d Akram declared. He added that despite the challenges, PTI had maintained strong public support, as millions of Pakistanis had voted for the party in the last elections.
\nAddressing internal party matters, Akram downplayed any differences within PTI, particularly between party figures such as Atif Khan and Ali Amin Gandapur. He stated that all PTI members were united in their cause and committed to the November 24 march. He also rejected claims of misuse of provincial resources, asserting that PTI\u2019s fight was for the rule of law and the protection of the constitution.
\nAkram reiterated that the PTI protest on November 24 would be a defining moment for the party and that millions of people were expected to join the demonstration in Islamabad.
