\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Wednesday launched the Ehsaas Apna Ghar Scheme, an ambitious project to provide interest-free housing loans to low-income individuals. Speaking at a signing ceremony between the Housing Department and the Bank of Khyber at the CM House, Gandapur emphasized the provincial government\u2019s commitment to addressing housing challenges faced by underprivileged communities.
\nUnder the scheme, loans of up to Rs 1.5 million will be provided for the construction of new houses or the renovation of existing ones. The project has been allocated Rs 4 billion and will operate on a revolving fund model over the next seven years.
\nA statement issued here stated that the loans under the scheme are repayable over seven years, with monthly installments capped at Rs 18,000.
\nThe Chief Minister highlighted the program\u2019s socio-economic benefits, stating that it would improve living standards and help uplift marginalized communities.
\n\u201cThis initiative will enable deserving individuals to secure safe and dignified housing, significantly enhancing their quality of life,\u201d he said.
\nGandapur directed authorities to ensure transparency in the disbursement process, emphasizing that loans should only be provided to genuinely deserving candidates.
\nThe Ehsaas Apna Ghar Scheme is part of the provincial government\u2019s broader strategy to improve living conditions and promote economic stability. With a simple repayment structure and a focus on equity, the initiative aims to make housing more accessible for low-income families across KP.

\nAli Amin Gandpapur filed petition through Ajmal Khan Mohmand in this regard in IHC Wednesday.
\nThe petitioner has requested the court for removing terrorism clauses from the case registered in police station secretariat.
\nThe petition said constitutional right was exercised to protest. Police registered terrorism case. The case was registered in Secretariat police station in Islamabad.
\nThe petitioner requested the court to suspend FIR or terrorism related clauses till final decision.
