\nAwami National Party (ANP) senior leader Mian Iftikhar Hussain has raised serious concerns over rising incidents and fresh wave of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
\nAddressing the Governor KP Faisal Amin Kundi led All Parties Conference at the Governor House he highlighted several critical concerns regarding the treatment of Pakhtuns in other cities of Pakistan.
\nMian Iftikhar emphasized that discrimination against Pakhtuns should end immediately and called on the central and Punjab governments to take responsibility for the ongoing marginalization and to stop the humiliation of people from KP.
\nHe noted that terrorism has reached alarming levels in KP, and the Pakhtuns in Punjab are not leaving the province voluntarily, which reflects the gravity of the situation.
\nANP leader warned that the situation in the province is extremely dire and that the responsibility for any negative outcome would fall on the central and Punjab governments.
\nHe acknowledged the APC as a positive development and expressed gratitude to the Governor for hosting the conference and urged that political forces must come together to address the challenges facing the province.
\nThe ANP provincial president voiced reservations regarding provincial autonomy, the NFC award, and the 18th Constitutional Amendment, highlighting the need for these issues to be resolved in a way that benefits the province. The ANP\u2019s priority is to establish peace and order in the province and to eliminate terrorism. He criticized the failure of both the provincial and central governments to maintain peace in the region.
\nHe stressed the importance of cooperation between the provincial and central governments, as well as the establishment, in the fight against terrorism. The current situation requires a unified approach to be effectively addressed. Regarding the situation in Kurram, Mian Iftikhar called for immediate action to prevent the crisis from worsening. He emphasized the need for decisive measures and expressed hope that the Governor would relay the province\u2019s concerns to the central government.
\nHe pointed out the absence of ruling PTI party members from the conference, despite the Governor\u2019s invitation to all political forces. He criticized the lack of participation from the government and suggested that political unity is essential for resolving the province\u2019s issues.
\nReferencing the Khyber Jirga held months earlier, he questioned why the Chief Minister could not come to the Governor\u2019s House to engage in dialogue.
