\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur chaired a meeting of the Land Use and Building Control Council, with cabinet members Arshad Ayub, Muhammad Sajjad, Pir Musawar Shah, Abdul Karim, and other council members in attendance.
\nDuring the meeting, the Concept Master Plans for seven additional urban centers and cities were approved, said an official handout. According to an official statement, these plans cover Peshawar, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mingora, Chitral, Jamrud, and Landi Kotal.
\nThe Chief Minister instructed that designs and PC1 documents be prepared based on these approved conceptual plans and submitted for further approval.
\nHe emphasized the importance of consulting experts from all relevant departments and institutions during the design phase.
\nIn his remarks, the Chief Minister underscored the need for the effective implementation of these plans to ensure the realistic and sustainable development of urban areas.
\nHe also directed the creation of a one-stop facility for investors at the district level, which should include expert representatives from relevant departments to streamline processes.
\nFollowing the principles of the Ease of Doing Business Policy, the Chief Minister emphasized eliminating unnecessary steps to facilitate investment and project implementation.
\nAdditionally, he ordered the removal of unapproved projects from urban centers and called for regulatory actions to manage private societies and colonies.
\nHe advocated for a simplified process for obtaining No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and ensuring that these NOCs are provided in accordance with the law.
\nIn line with these efforts, the Chief Minister directed the GIS mapping of private colonies, societies, and government properties to ensure proper documentation and regulation.
\nFurthermore, he highlighted the urgent need to address Peshawar\u2019s long-term water supply issues.
\nHe instructed that a detailed briefing be arranged regarding proposed water supply projects from Mohmand Dam and Jabba Dam, stressing the critical nature of resolving the water scarcity problem to avoid future challenges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
