\nProvincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Tuesday released Rs 150 million for the families affected by the Kurram conflict.
\nAccording to an official statement, the compensation funds will be distributed among the families of the deceased, injured, and displaced individuals by the deputy commissioner Kurram.
\nAdditionally, the statement said, relief materials, including family-sized tents, beds, mattresses, blankets, quilts, pillows, kitchen sets, mats, tarpaulins, and other essential items, have been distributed to 1,000 affected families.
\nA statement issued by director general PDMA Asfandyar Khattak stated that promptly supplied tents and essential items not only to Kurram district but also to the Deputy Commissioner of Hangu, where relief efforts are focused on 150 families affected by the Kurram incidents.
\nThe statement further mentioned that Rs 20 million has been allocated to the Deputy Commissioner of Hangu for the relief of families displaced by the Kurram incidents in Hangu district.
\nAsfandyar Khattak also highlighted that the survey reports for houses, shops, and other properties either completely or partially destroyed in the recent incidents are currently being prepared.
\nHe assured that as soon as the loss assessment is completed, compensation will be disbursed promptly in accordance with the provincial policy.
\nIn response to questions, Khattak clarified that checks for the deceased and injured are being processed and will be issued to the next of kin within one to two days.
\nHe emphasized that PDMA is committed to serving the people without discrimination, particularly in the event of natural or man-made disasters, and assured that no negligence would be tolerated in the relief efforts. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
