\nPESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has paid tribute to the martyrs of the Army Public School Peshawar on the 10th anniversary of the horrific carnage, stating the heartbreaking incident stands as the saddest tragedy in the history of our country. \u201cIt is a loss that will never be forgotten, one that brought tears to every eye across Pakistan,\u201d he said in a statement issued from CM House Peshawar. Gandapur maintained that the tragedy laid the foundation for lasting peace in the country, as it united the entire nation, including the government and institutions, against the common enemy of terrorism. \u201cThe grief of the martyrs of APS remains alive in our hearts, and it will forever stay with us,\u201d CM Gandapur said. Today serves as a painful reminder of when the enemies of humanity brutally took the lives of young and innocent children, he said and added that in the aftermath of this tragedy, the entire nation and its institutions rallied together with a firm resolve to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from society. CM KP said the tragedy also led to the political and military leadership coming together to create the National Action Plan, a move that proved to be both correct and timely in our pursuit of a peaceful Pakistan. Today is a particularly sorrowful day for the affected parents, whose beloved children were taken from them forever. He said the sacrifices made by the APS martyrs have etched a story of bravery and resilience that will never be forgotten.
