According to an official statement, the approved funding aimed at supporting the large-scale project to revamp non-teaching District Headquarters (DHQ) hospitals across the province. The approval of the loan will contribute to enhancing healthcare facilities in the province, improving infrastructure, and strengthening the overall health system to benefit the population,\u201d the statement said.<br \/>\nThis disbursement reflects the progress made in achieving Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLIs) 1, 2, 3, and 5, aligning the program with Secondary Revamp Project to improve secondary healthcare services across the province in DHQ Hospitals.<br \/>\nUnder DLI 5, 85 percent of essential medical equipment across SHC hospitals is available, tagged, and fully functional and has liquidated 10 million USD paid in advance.<br \/>\nThe ADB\u2019s disbursement brings the program back \u201con-track\u201d after being previously marked as \u201cat-risk,\u201d ensuring continued support for critical healthcare improvements in KP.<br \/>\nOfficials from the Planning and Development Department (P&#038;DD) and health sector stakeholders hailed this development as a turning point for the program.<br \/>\nThe success stems from a collaborative approach initiated in November 2023, with decisive actions taken during a meeting co-chaired by senior officials in the Finance and Health Department.<br \/>\nThis approval underscores ADB\u2019s confidence in provincial efforts to strengthen health infrastructure, improve service delivery, and modernize equipment across secondary healthcare facilities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DLP Report PESHAWAR The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved $7.5 million for the Health Systems Strengthening Program (KPHSSP) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
