\nPESHAWAR
\nThe Standing Committee on the Minerals Department of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa convened under the chairmanship of MPA Ikramullah Ghazi.
\nThe meeting was attended by committee members MPA Hameed-ur-Rehman, Mehboob Sher, Nisar Baz, Ajab Gul, and Shafiullah Jan, alongside the secretary and other relevant officials from the Minerals Department.
\nThe secretary provided a comprehensive briefing on the department\u2019s performance and outlined its future plans.
\nAccording to a statement , Chairman Ikramullah Ghazi emphasized the committee\u2019s commitment to improving the system and ensuring better facilities for landowners and mine operators.
\n\u201cThe department satisfactorily answered the questions raised by members,\u201d said Ghazi. \u201cOur goal is to provide the best support to landowners and leaseholders, adding the PA body will take steps to resolve comprehensively and promptly issues of mining sector and encouraging new investments and mitigating the province\u2019s financial challenges.\u201dThe chairman further underscored the importance of responsible mining practices, particularly in the use of explosives, to minimize disruption to local communities.
\nHe urged mine owners and department officials to take strict measures to prevent misuse, ensuring public safety.
\nGhazi highlighted the need to reinvest revenue generated from natural resources into local health and development projects.
\n\u201cOur job is to create ease for the people, not disrupt their lives or businesses. We must take necessary steps to foster societal improvement,\u201d he concluded.
